NCC to build student residences in Oslo for SEK 101 million NCC Construction Norway has concluded an agreement for the construction of 296 student apartments in Oslo. The order was placed by Oslo- og Akershusskolenes Studentsamskipnad* and is worth approximately NOK 93 million, or about SEK 101 million. The assignment will be implemented in the form of a partnering agreement and the residences will be built at the St. Hanshaugen campus in Oslo. The assignment will be conducted in the form of a turnkey contract and work will commence during the autumn. The first stage will be finalized by August 1, 2005 and the second stage by Christmas 2005. Partnering is a structured form of cooperation in the construction sector, whereby the customer, consultants and contractor jointly resolve a construction assignment based on trusting cooperation. All of the parties work on an open books basis and their professional skills complement each other during all phases of the construction process. * A studentsamskipnad is an interest organization for students that requires compulsory membership and which manages various assets, such as residences.
