NCC to build treatment center in Norway for SEK 171 million NCC Construction AS of Norway has concluded an agreement with the Norwegian construction project Nye Ahus regarding the construction of a treatment center at the Lorenskog Hospital, outside Oslo. The customer is Helse Øst RHF, a Norwegian healthcare company, and the order is worth NOK 158 million, corresponding to approximately SEK 171 million. NCC will be responsible for the first phase of construction of the new treatment center. The project comprises construction of the basic frame for the building, in the form of on-site forming of the concrete structure and steel work. Work on the project will commence on January 17, 2005 and is scheduled for completion by the end of the same year. A maximum of slightly more than 100 NCC employees and subcontractors will be engaged in the project. "This is a very large concrete assignment and the first construction contract for the new hospital in Lorenskog. Since competition for the assignment was intense, we are very pleased to have secured the contract. The fact that NCC can now demonstrate its strengths in the field of healthcare buildings is of considerable importance," says Jørgen Evensen, District Manager for NCC's Oslo Construction Region.
