“The construction contract allows us to look forward to the start of yet another project this year. Aros Bostad has worked together with NCC on several previous housing projects, and we have immense respect for NCC’s expertise in the fields of construction and sustainability,” says Magnus Andersson, CEO of Aros Bostad.

NCC and Aros Bostad entered into a partnering agreement in December 2017 to develop Invernesshöjden in southern Danderyd, a new residential neighborhood with more than 400 apartments and a preschool.

The first phase comprised 86 tenant-owned apartments across two apartment buildings. Occupancy has now commenced in these buildings. Phase two is now being initiated, and NCC’s assignment comprises the new construction of approximately 155 tenant-owned apartments. The apartment buildings will be low rise with two underground floors comprising a garage and ancillary service area. The well-planned residential units will range from studios to five-bedroom apartments with balconies or terraces.

“We have had an excellent partnership with Aros Bostad since 2017. We are now bringing all of these good experiences with us to the project’s second phase in which we will construct approximately 155 apartments in the Invernesshöjden residential neighborhood. The groundwork will commence in August and the actual housing production in mid-February 2022,” says Annika Grönberg, Department Manager, NCC Building Sweden.

Construction will start in August 2021 and the first occupancy is expected at the end of 2024. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 320 million and will be registered among orders in the third quarter of 2021 in the NCC Building Sweden business area. The construction contract will be carried out in collaboration with NCC Infrastructure.
