The now listed factory buildings were used as a distillery until 2015. The buildings will now be remodeled and refurbished to be transformed into an arts center. NCC’s assignment also includes remediation of the site, some demolition work and the construction of an extension. The assignment comprises a total area of 3,200 square meters.
“We plan to preserve the industrial heritage of the buildings and meticulously refurbish and remodel the areas so that they can serve a new purpose. We are proud to be able to play a part in giving our existing building stock a new lease of life,” says Jakob Søe Lundgaard, Area Manager, NCC Building Nordics.
Construction will commence in January 2025 and is scheduled to be completed in the beginning of 2027.
The assignment is a turnkey contract and the order value of about SEK 190 million will be registered during the fourth quarter of 2024 in the NCC Building Nordics business area.
