NCC to construct combined power and heating plant in Malmö for SEK 198 million

Report this content

NCC has been commissioned by SYSAV, a waste management company based in southern Sweden, to build a new combined power and heating plant in Malmö. The order is worth SEK 198 million and the assignment will be conducted on a partnering basis.

The contract pertains to building and installation work at a new line for waste incineration. NCC is already conducting landscaping and concrete assignments, as well as underground cabling, at the site. SYSAV and NCC have jointly established a project organization, which will guide the project towards the targets written into the agreement. NCC’s form of cooperation, called Partnering, is aimed at creating an improved, more cost-effective construction process, whereby all of the partners in a construction project work with open accounting of their costs and with joint incentives to reduce construction costs and share the resulting profits. Project planning will commence during October 2006 and the contract is scheduled for completion in January 2008. Approximately 15 people will be employed in the project. The assignment will be registered among orders during the third quarter of 2006.
