NCC to construct helicopter hangars in Linköping for SEK 190 million

NCC Construction in Sweden has received the allocation decision to construct helicopter hangars for the Helicopter Squadron at Malmen Airport, outside Linköping. The customer is the National Fortifications Administration and the order is worth approximately SEK 190 million.

Construction will commence during spring 2006 and the hangars are scheduled for completion by summer 2007. The project comprises the construction of a staging hangar and a service and maintenance hangar. It also includes a flight-service building, with offices and personnel facilities. In addition, NCC has been commissioned to undertake associated groundwork and exterior pipeline assignments. The buildings, which will be adapted to the requirements of the new HKP 14 and 15 helicopter systems, will have a total of approximately 16,000 square meters of floor space. About 50 employees will be engaged in the project. The assignment will be registered among orders during the first quarter of 2006, assuming that the National Fortifications Administration’s allocation decision becomes legally effective.
