“We are extremely pleased to continue our good collaboration with NCC in the Arenastaden district. Last year, we realised ICA’s vision for its new head office and won the BREEAM Building of the Year award, so we are looking forward now to working further together on a new, unique office for TietoEVRY,” says Klas Holmgren, Director of Projects and Development Fabege.
Under the name Kvarter Poolen, the project covers new production of an office building that will be TietoEVRY’s new Swedish office, with a total area of 35,000 square meters over ten floors. A public swimming pool, to be managed by Solna Municipality, will also be constructed in the building under a separate construction contract. The roof will be covered by solar panels and also feature green spaces.
“We look forward to completing another project in partnership with Fabege in Arenastaden, constructing a modern office building with a high sustainability profile. The exciting and innovative architecture will make the building a landmark,” says Henrik Landelius, Business Area Manager of NCC Building Sweden.
The office building will be environmentally classified under the BREEAM Excellent standard, which imposes strict requirements on choice of materials, waste and water management, innovative technical solutions, construction processes and operation.
NCC has had previous construction contracts for foundation engineering work for Solna Municipality at the site in question. Construction of the office building will begin immediately, and will be ready for occupancy in March 2022.
The transaction totals approximately SEK 750 million and will be registered in the second quarter of 2020 in the NCC Building Sweden business area.
