NCC Construction Norway has been commissioned by Sogn og Fjordane County to construct a road and tunnel for the Dalsfjord Link. The total value of the order is SEK 415 million.

The Dalsfjord Link comprises three contracts, of which NCC Construction Norway has secured one. NCC’s contract is for a total 5.2 kilometers of road and 4.2 kilometers of tunnel, which will be constructed on both sides of the Dalsfjorden fjord.

The contract also includes the construction of exits and side roads, and excavation works for the foundations of the suspension bridge that will be built across the Dalsfjorden fjord.

The purpose of the Dalsfjord Link is to construct a stretch of road across the entire Sogn og Fjordane County thus eliminating the need for ferry traffic.

The project will begin in September 2010 and NCC’s section will be completed in December 2012. The entire Dalsfjord Link is expected to be finished by late autumn 2013.

The order will be registered in the third quarter of 2010.
