NCC Construction AS in Norway has signed a contract with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration to construct a section of the E18 expressway between Festningstunnelen and Ekebergtunnelen in Oslo. The order value is approximately SEK 435 million.

The work will be completed in two phases. The first phase will commence in November this year and be completed in September 2007. Following a temporary halt until the autumn of 2009, during which time an immersed tunnel will be connected, work on the second phase will be conducted until the summer of 2011. The project comprises an expansion of the road system adjacent to the new opera house and the railway station in Oslo. The assignment is to construct concrete culverts with exit and approach ramps. Two thirds of the work will be completed during the first phase. Preparations will start in mid-October, allowing work to begin in November. The order will be registered among orders received during the fourth quarter of 2005.
