NCC to construct shopping center and housing outside Oslo for SEK 480 million

NCC Construction in Norway has been commissioned by Profier to construct Bekkestua Center and Bekkestua South in Bærum, outside Oslo.  The project takes the form of a turnkey contract and is scheduled for completion in March 2015. The order will be registered in the third quarter.

The location is central Bekkestua with direct access to public transport. The floor space will be divided between 10,000 square meters of residential space in the shape of 77 apartments in Bekkestua South and 23,500 square meters of commercial operations and parking in Bekkestua Center.

“NCC has extensive experience of the construction and development of housing and commercial properties, both east and west of the Oslofjord. This assignment, combined with our purchase of OKK Entreprenör earlier this year, will strengthen our position on the western side of the country,” says NCC Construction’s Regional Director, Tommy Helgerud.

NCC has worked closely with Profier throughout the entire project development phase. The aim has been to produce top quality, cost-efficient solutions that satisfy residents and visitors, as well as those employed in the shopping center. The environmental requirements will be meticulous during both the construction phase and afterwards. The project complies with the high insulation and density standards of the Norwegian construction regulations (TEK 10). Construction will be implemented in accordance with NCC’s proprietary “Green Construction” concept.
