The swim center comprises approximately 5,000 square meters and will feature three pools: a 25-meter exercise pool, a multifunction pool and a combined children’s and swim training pool. Changing rooms and service areas are included in the contract.

“NCC has extensive experience in the Nordic region of constructing swim centers and public baths and we have our own tried-and-tested technical solutions and work processes. We will combine all of this when constructing the center in Oulu. The project is a construction contract, meaning that Oulun Tilapalvelut is responsible for the design and planning of the swim center,” says Frej Weurlander, Department Manager Special Projects, NCC Building Nordics.

The start of construction is planned for spring 2023 and completion is scheduled for the end of 2024.

The assignment is a construction contract for approximately SEK 190 million and will be registered among orders in the first quarter of 2023 in the NCC Building Nordics business area.
