NCC to establish separate BOT organization

Report this content

NCC to establish separate BOT organization NCC has decided to institute a separate BOT (build, operate and transfer) unit in order to increase its ability to generate business opportunities in this segment. The new unit will actively develop BOT projects and be an active owner of projects during the development phase, with the aim of sharpening NCC's competitiveness. There is an increasing global trend within the construction sector towards the application of BOT (also known as BOO, BTO, PPP and PFI) solutions. To date, the Arlanda Link railway system, in which NCC is active as both a builder and an owning partner, is the only BOT project undertaken in Sweden. Organizationally, the new unit will be a line unit within the Civil Engineering business area with responsibility for project development in the domestic Nordic region and in international markets. Anders Brolin, aged 53, currently president of NCC International, has been appointed head of the new unit. Anders Brolin has been employed by NCC since 1995. Per Nielsen, aged 50, currently project director for Öresund Tunnel Contractors I/S in Copenhagen, has been appointed new president of NCC International. Per Nielsen has been employed by NCC since 1976. The above management changes will become effective during April this year.
