NCC to expand college in Jönköping for SEK 177 million

NCC to expand college in Jönköping for SEK 177 million NCC has received an order for the building of new premises for the Institute of Teacher Training and Communications in Jönköping. The customer is Högskolefastigheter i Jönköping AB. The value of NCC's contract is SEK 102 million, and NCC's commitment also includes the coordination of auxiliary contracts in an amount of approximately SEK 75 million. Work will be conducted on a general contract basis. 2 The volume of new premises will total 20,400 m , of which an already completed 2 foundation contract accounts for 4,100 m . The project comprises five separate 3-4-floor building units, linked together by open connecting rooms. The building will have a concrete structure and facades of red brick, stucco, natural rock and glass. The roof will largely be covered with mats of vegetation using sedum species. The architect is Erséus, Frenning och Sjögren Arkitekter AB, Gothenburg. Building work, in which about 45 NCC employees and an equal number of subcontractors will be involved, is scheduled for completion in June 2000.
