NCC Construction AS has entered into an agreement with Entra Eiendom AS regarding the extension and refurbishment of premises in Oslo belonging to the Aftenposten newspaper. The order is valued at approximately SEK 171 million.

Work on the refurbishment of the editorial building on Akersgatan 51/Apotekergatan 6 will commence on February 1, 2007 and is scheduled for completion during spring 2008. The premises currently comprise a main building facing Akersgatan and several other buildings of varying sizes.

NCC will refurbish the existing premises and build new office premises after another contractor has demolished parts of the buildings. Old space used for communications will be removed and new main elevators and staircases will be built in a new atrium, thus providing the building with a better infrastructure. The size of the new office complex will be 17,500 square meters.

“We have signed a turnkey agreement featuring a cooperation model that is ideally suited to our focus on partnering. A team that has been molded into an efficient unit over a long period of time will work on the project. This means that we have optimal prerequisites for successful implementation of the project,” says District Manager Frøydis Rørtveit.
