NCC has previously completed several assignments at NÄL, including refurbishment and expansion of the neonatal care ward, the refurbishment of a cardiology theater, and the refurbishment of the operation division for gynecology.

We are pleased to be part of the continuing development of NÄL alongside Västfastigheter. With our experience from previously completed projects and close dialogue with the hospital, we can maintain quality-assured and efficient work methods,” says Joakim Antonsson, Business Manager NCC Building Sweden.

The refurbishment and expansion of the operation and surgery ward encompasses four operating theaters of approximately 1,100 square meters and creating a new, hybrid 400-square meter operating theater for vascular intervention.

The contract work under this agreement will begin immediately and completion is scheduled for 2024. The transaction totals approximately SEK 150 million and will be registered among orders in the second quarter of 2023 in the NCC Building Sweden business area.
