NCC to refurbish Havnelageret in Oslo for SEK 303 million

NCC Construction in Norway has entered into a partnering agreement with Entra Eiendom AS regarding the refurbishment to modern office premises of Havnelageret, a classical building at Langkaia, Oslo. The project is valued at approximately SEK 303 million and work will commence immediately.

Havnelageret, which occupies a unique position in Oslo as one of the Norwegian capital’s principal landmarks, is currently a neighbor to the Opera House at the new Bjørvika. The aim of the refurbishment project is to develop the property’s potential and establish modern office workplaces. The building comprises 40,000 square meters of floor space, distributed among ten stories, plus an attic and a basement. The project will be implemented in several phases, with the first phase encompassing the basement and the ground floor, which includes a restaurant and a new reception. Work will include total interior refurbishment and installation of technical equipment. Thanks to open office-landscape solutions, each story will have room for approximately 200 workplaces. The tenants will remain in the building while the refurbishment work is conducted. Order registration will occur during the fourth quarter of 2005.
