Peter Wågström has assumed position as NCC’s new CEO and President

Peter Wågström assumed his position as CEO and President for NCC in connection with NCC’s Annual General Meeting this Wednesday. In December 2010 Peter Wågström was appointed to CEO and President of NCC by the Board of Directors. He succeeds Olle Ehrlén who retires.

“NCC is in many respects a leader in the Nordic region and has had a superb development during the past 10 years.  The company has gone from being the bottom of its class to a position at the very forefront of development. My intention is for us to retain the leading positions that we have – and to capture leading positions in areas that we for some reason do not currently hold”, Peter Wågström said in his short address to the Annual General Meeting.

“A path has been clearly laid out for NCC to follow – one that I will continue along. What I will devote particular energy to, in the immediate future, is our customers, and why customers should choose NCC. We aim to be the customers’ first choice. NCC intends to grow – and to grow profitably”, said Peter Wågström.

Peter Wågström is 46 years old and has a Degree in Civil Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Prior to the appointment he was Business Area President of NCC Housing, NCC’s business area for Housing development with a workforce of approximately 900 and an annual   production of 4,000 to 5,000 housing units.

Before that Peter was Business Area President of NCC Property Development, which develops commercial properties and has an annual production volume of SEK 3.5 to 5 billion.

Peter has been employed by NCC since 2004 and has been a member of the Group’s management team since 2007.

He is also Chairman of ASPECT (Association for Surveying, Property Evaluation and Valuation, Competence Development and Transaction
