In the space of one week, NCC is starting construction on three offices. First out is phase 2 of Torsplan in Stockholm, followed by eXlent Hyllie in Malmö and then the SCA building in Mölndal. All of the buildings are environmentally certified according to BREEAM and together amount to 66,000 square meters.

“There is a vision and a goal of creating attractive, sustainable workplaces for the inhabitants of these cities, and we are proud to be part of reaching that vision,” says Katarina Wåhlin Alm, Country Manager, NCC Property Development Sweden.

The properties will be certified to GreenBuilding standard and be environmentally certified in line with the BREEAM international rating system. This means that considerable attention will be paid to the building’s indoor environment, ecology and life cycle, as well as energy and water consumption.

The groundbreaking for the second phase of Torsplan will be on August 29 and completion is expected at the end of 2016. The 26,000 square meter property is located in Hagastaden, a new city district in Stockholm close to parks, housing and Karolinska Hospital with its world-class care and research.

eXlent Hyllie is a modern office building of 8,000 square meters located in Malmö’s growing city district Hyllie close to both the Öresund Bridge and central Malmö. Ground will be broken on September 4 and completion is expected during 2015.

On September 5, construction starts on the 32,000-square-meter office building in Mölndal. Stena Fastigheter acquired the property in June this year and NCC has leased all the office space to the hygiene and forest products company SCA, which will take up occupancy in December 2016. For the City of Mölndal and NCC, this is the start of the development of central Mölndal with the vision of creating an attractive city center.
