Tomas Carlsson appointed new President of NCC Construction Sweden

Tomas Carlsson has been appointed new President of NCC Construction Sweden. He will succeed Olle Ehrlén, who has been appointed new President and Chief Executive Officer of NCC AB. Tomas Carlsson will take office on February 12, 2007.

Tomas Carlsson, aged 41, has a degree in engineering from the Chalmers Institute of Technology in Gothenburg and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University in New York and London Business School. He is currently head of NCC Construction Sweden’s Western Region, which has annual sales of approximately SEK 2.5 billion. Tomas Carlsson joined NCC in 1991 and has held several different positions within the Group, both in various business areas and in different markets. His previous positions include being active in NCC’s projects in India and being responsible for NCC Roads’ operations in Poland, the Baltic countries and St. Petersburg.

His international background makes him particularly suitable for the task of continuing to implement the process of change and development under way within NCC Construction Sweden,” says Olle Ehrlén, forthcoming President and Chief Executive Officer of NCC.
