Nightingale launches Nightingale Home and Nightingale Pro service models

Nightingale Health Plc (”Nightingale”) launches two new service models: Nightingale Home service model, in which the blood sample is taken by the consumer, and Nightingale Pro service model, in which the blood sample is taken by a healthcare professional at a laboratory.

Nightingale Home service model includes the unique health index developed by Nightingale and the health indicators describing different health areas. In the Nightingale Home service model, the sample is taken as a fingerprick blood test with an easy-to-use device.

Nightingale Pro is Nightingale’s broadest service model and it includes comprehensive information about individual blood values in addition to the unique health index and the health indictors describing different health areas. With the help of this information, healthcare professionals can support customers in their lifestyle choices and guide them towards better health. In the Nightingale Pro service model, a venous blood sample is taken in a healthcare provider’s laboratory.

Nightingale Home service model is developed in the at-home test pilot announced in February 2021 and of which the first and second phase have been successfully completed. The at-home test pilot has proceeded in the planned schedule, and Nightingale has achieved the key product development goals set for the at-home test pilot. Due to the fast progress in the product development and commercialisation, the enrolment to the third phase of the at-home test pilot is closed, and the third and final phase of the at-home test pilot will be carried out by the end of the year as planned. At the same time, the commercial phase of the Nightingale Home service model will be started.

A service under the Nightingale Home service model will, in the first phase, be available in Yliopiston Apteekki’s (a major nationwide Finnish pharmacy chain) online store within 2021 and in Yliopiston Apteekki's pharmacies nationwide during the first half of 2022. 

Nightingale’s broadest service model Nightingale Pro is used in the wellbeing membership launched by Nightingale and Terveystalo (Finland's largest health service company). The wellbeing membership includes samples taken at Terveystalo’s laboratory as well as recommendations and digital weekly programs on sleep, mind, nutrition and exercise created by leading experts. Terveystalo’s customers who join as wellbeing members receive the comprehensive information of their blood values offered by Nightingale Pro as a part of their own health information. Nightingale and Terveystalo are planning to bring features from the Nightingale Home service model to the service offered to wellbeing members at a later stage, for example by combining at-home testing with lifestyle coaching provided by healthcare professionals.
