A surveillance audit has been successfully completed for the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification Nightingale Health Plc (“Nightingale”) received a year ago in January 2021. ISO/IEC 27001:2013 is a globally recognized gold standard for information security management that defines the requirements of an information security management system. With its information security management system, Nightingale ensures that appropriate measures to secure data, products and services are maintained.

The audit was performed by Inspecta Sertifiointi Oy, a FINAS (Finnish Accreditation Service) accredited certification body, and it included, among other things, an evaluation of information security leadership, continual improvement, risk management, ICT operations, product management, sales, security in laboratory analysis and security awareness. The results of the audit showed that Nightingale’s information security management is on an excellent level, as there were no non-conformities found in the audit.

“Information security is a key priority for us. With this certification, we want to provide to our customers, business partners and other stakeholders objective evidence that they can be sure that we take information security seriously, we have appropriate security measures in place protecting the data and that we have invested and will continue to invest to maintain our high level of security and respond to continuously evolving security threats,” says Petteri Arola, Nightingale’s Chief Information Security Officer.

”The results of the surveillance audit and the fact that not a single non-conformity was found recognizes our dedication to information security and commitment to continuously develop information security within the company. We see the high level of information security management as a competitive edge and are committed to maintaining this high level while expanding our business in international markets,” says Teemu Suna, Nightingale’s Chief Executive Officer and founder.
