Konstel, part of Nimlas Group, acquires MerElektro AS in Norway.
The Norwegian subsidiary of Nimlas Group, Konstel is pleased to announce the acquisition of MerElektro AS, a solid and skilled electrical installer in the Oslo region in Norway, with a turnover of approximately NOK 75 million. The acquisition of MerElektro AS will strengthen Konstel's presence in Eastern Norway, as well as the group's ability to deliver advanced and environmentally friendly solutions to its customers.
MerElektro was established in 2016 and is located in Oslo. The electrical contractor, with 37 employees, mainly offers electrical installations to contractors, commercial customers, and the public sector. In addition, the company specializes in areas that require advanced expertise, including battery technology on construction sites and charging infrastructure/charging stations for trucks. The company is currently in the final stages of becoming ISO 9001 and 14001 certified.
In 2021, MerElektro started focusing on battery systems and energy storage solutions. New environmental requirements are becoming increasingly important in the award criteria in tender processes, which is important for both builders and contractors to be able to prepare for emission-free construction sites. MerElektro has developed expertise in converting large construction machines from fossil to electric drive.
