Nimlas-owned QMG expands capabilities in cooling and refrigeration services
QMG, part of Nimlas Group, continues to scale its technical expertise and service business in Finland through the acquisition of cooling and refrigeration specialist Kylmähuolto Leppälä Oy. The asset deal was executed by JP Yhtiöt Oy, a subsidiary of QMG, and strengthens the group’s HVAC and refrigeration offering for industrial, energy, and real estate clients in the Southern Savonia region.
Founded in 1973, JP Yhtiöt is the oldest HVAC company in the Mikkeli region, employing 26 professionals and generating a turnover of approximately SEK 69.5 million in 2024. The company broadened its service capabilities last year through an asset deal with Asennus Kakriainen Oy, and now further expands its expertise with the addition of professional cooling and refrigeration services.
“Cooling and refrigeration expertise is an excellent addition to JP Yhtiöt’s service portfolio. We’ve worked with Sakari Leppälä for a long time, and now that we’re on the same team, we can serve our customers even more comprehensively,” comments Jukka Huoponen, managing director of JP Yhtiöt.
Sakari Leppälä, the owner of Kylmähuolto Leppälä Oy, brings over 30 years of expertise in the field. The company, established in 1986, generated a turnover of approximately SEK 8 million in 2024.
“The cooling and refrigeration sector is evolving rapidly, especially with changes in legislation. Joining forces with JP Yhtiöt gives us the resources and scale to take on larger projects and grow together,” Leppälä comments.
In March this year, QMG’s largest subsidiary Quattroservices strengthened its fire safety offering through the acquisition of PaloControl’s operations. QMG consists of 45 locally managed companies.
This asset deal supports Nimlas’ new 2–20–2 strategy, in which the group aims to reach SEK 2 billion in EBITA, SEK 20 billion in revenue, and expand into two new markets by 2029.
