Nimlas-owned Sandbäckens Appoints Fredrik Setréus as New CEO
Sandbäckens, part of Nimlas Group’s Swedish operation, has appointed Fredrik Setréus as its new CEO, effective June 2, 2025. He succeeds Christoffer Järkeborn, who will continue in his role as Group CEO of Nimlas.
Fredrik Setréus has served as CFO of Sandbäckens since 2021, where he also led the company’s finance and support function. Prior to joining Sandbäckens, he ran his own advisory business and held senior roles at leading companies such as Skanska, Bonava and Essity.
Fredrik has also been part of the executive team that developed Sandbäckens’ 5–50–500 strategy, which targets SEK 5 billion in revenue, 50 new companies, and SEK 500 million in EBITA by 2027.

Nimlas’ strategy “2–20–2” targets SEK 2 billion in EBITA, SEK 20 billion in revenue and expansion into two new markets by 2029. Sandbäckens represents Nimlas Swedish operations alongside Konstel in Norway and QMG in Finland.
Fredrik Setréus will also join the Nimlas Leadership Team (NLT) and report to Christoffer Järkeborn. Fredrik also holds the role of CFO for Sandbäckens until the position is filled; the recruitment process is starting immediately.
