– tech suppliers Nimo-KG and GAROS aim to revolutionize the American food industry

On November 1–4 it is show time for the best of the best in the food and beverage industry at Process Expo in Chicago – the worldwide trade fair. And with the biggest global players in place, and nearly 500 exhibitors, two Swedish companies are getting ready to shine a little extra.
”Our new machines optimize some of Europe’s most popular industry solutions. And now, for the first time, they will be easily available to American companies as well,” says Johan Bergman, Managing Director at Nimo-KG.

The SK 800 MK2 and the 300 GBT. Those are the names of the two new Scandinavian designed flagships of the food industry. One heavy-duty lifting/tipping device and one state of the art mixer – totally unique to the American market. With the two world premieres Nimo-KG and GAROS hope to make it big in the US. Nimo-KG has already made a first attempt via a successful collaboration with Heinz, but for GAROS this will be the first American experience. Both companies will be attending Process Expo in Chicago together with CMP Solutions, their mutual US retailer.
”Our joint solutions have been very well received in Europe and I’m truly excited about the American response. Especially regarding the new mixer, which I believe could set a new US standard,” says Frans Gustafson, Managing Director at GAROS.

The GBT 300 mixer updates a technique currently dominating the European market and introduces it to the US for the first time. A service trolley, filled with ribs and a BBQ spice mix (for instance), is pushed into the machine which lifts it up and secures it to a hood with the corresponding volume. The entire carriage is then rotated until the contents have been mixed to perfection. For US customers, used to mixing ingredients in a giant container and then refilling smaller trolleys with the mixed batch – this will be a huge time saver.

Nimo-KG’s SK 800 MK2 is the latest model of one of the company’s best selling machines ever. A powerful twin column lift that fills molding machines, tumblers and grinders with up to one ton per lift. The update is seen in the new design, which optimizes the use of shaped rimless sheet metal. This gives a lighter and even more hygienic machine, as the risk of food getting stuck is minimized. The electrical system has also been modified and is now placed on abutments, making the sides completely smooth and even easier to clean.
