Nobina wins new contract in Värmland
Region Värmland has chosen to expand its collaboration with Nobina through a new contract for city transport in urban areas of Karlstad.
The new contract starts in July 2025 and will extend over two years and six months and subsequently synchronise with other traffic contracts in the county, all of which will be renewed in 2027.
The contract comprises a total of 60 scheduled vehicles as well as three vehicles that will strengthen services during the times of the day when most people travel. Most of the vehicles are multi-axle buses, together with four electric articulated buses on the busiest routes. The electric buses will have frequent departures and dedicated traffic lanes, in line with the BRT concept. There are plans to develop this further during the contract period to improve accessibility and serve more passengers.

The award decision can be appealed until 24 February 2023.
