Hotel Skeppsholmen on the Condé Nast Traveler “Hot List”

Hotel Skeppsholmen, often described as Stockholm’s urban oasis, has been up and running since late 2009. The hotel, located in a historic 17thcentury building, replete with contemporary design, fashion, food and art, has now joined the travel industry’s most prestigious list – Condé Nast Traveler’s annual “Hot List”.

The list covers 31 countries and consists of recently opened hotels. The final selection for this year’s list is comprised of 66 venues around the world, which were selected after months of assessments involving hundreds of nominations from Condé Nast Traveler readers. The selection is based on factors like style, design, service and guest experience.

“Thousands of hotels open around the world every year, so to be one of the chosen few on The Hot List is fantastic, and it proves that we have created something truly unique here on Skeppsholmen,” says Joachim Olausson, CEO.

About Hotel Skeppsholmen

Hotel Skeppsholmen is an inspirational blend of contemporary design from Claesson Koivisto Rune and historic architecture – the building was designed by Count Nicodemus Tessin the Younger in 1699. An oasis of calm at the heart of bustling Stockholm, the hotel is located on the beautiful island of Skeppsholmen – the city’s artistic district – and is right next door to the Museum of Modern Art.
