Ravishing Backs

NOMOS Glashütte welcomes the 2023 with attractive backs: Mechanical watches are beautiful, also in those places we rarely see—and they have something to say, too.

GLASHÜTTE, JANUARY 2023. Some things can only be evaluated in hindsight. Like the year that has just come to a close. Or whether the drinks we toasted the New Year with agreed with us. The back, rear and base of objects say a lot too, and deserve attention: Quality is often determined in places we don’t see everyday. Quality is something we establish as time passes, unseen.

And so it is that the backs of NOMOS watches are stunning, too: Usually only their owners ever see them. Depending on the model, they are elegantly cambered, made of sapphire crystal or stainless steel, with a fine bezel, bear a limited edition inscription and number, and—if so desired—a personal engraving as well. For 2023, we have come up with some ideas for engravings. What are yours?

We will be delighted to show you our watches and calibers from all sides. Because watches from NOMOS Glashütte are beautiful not only at the front and back, but also in places only a watchmaker might look once in a lifetime—inside the case, within the movement.

About NOMOS Glashütte:

NOMOS Glashütte is one of the few owner-operated watch manufactories in the world, and creates its mechanical timepieces in Glashütte, Germany. Watch models such as the Tangente, Ludwig, Orion, Club or Metro are world-famous—just like the place where they are made. Glashütte is a legally protected designation of origin. Only manufacturers who work according to strict rules in the 175-year-old tradition of the watchmaking town are permitted to use this denomination for their wristwatches. NOMOS Glashütte is the manufacturer that produces the most mechanical watches in Glashütte.
