Nordstjernan Growth invests in payment company Zimpler

Nordstjernan Growth is to invest in Zimpler, a Swedish payment company founded in 2012, with its head office in Stockholm. The company offers account-to-account payments to customers in a number of areas. Zimpler’s technology makes it possible to perform simple, quick, cost-effective and secure account-to-account payments. Nordstjernan Growth will be a minority owner in Zimpler, with the ambition of supporting and accelerating the company’s commercial development, not least by broadening its customer base and focusing on the development of new customer verticals.

“Account-to-account payments are rapidly becoming an increasingly popular payment method for both merchants and consumers. We foresee major potential for Zimpler and want to support the company in its continued growth journey, which includes excellent opportunities for gaining new customers, for example, in e-commerce and financial services, geographic expansion, and a broadening of the product offering, thereby creating added value for customers” says Nordstjernan’s CEO Peter Hofvenstam.

The investment is being made within Nordstjernan’s growth initiative, Nordstjernan Growth, and is the third holding in the Nordstjernan Growth portfolio.
