Newly-launched Flow opens up whole new world for iPhone/iPad
Process experts Novacura are continually refining their most successful software Novacura Flow. Corporate customers such as the Norwegian state energy company Statnett, and Dalkia Nordic and Ericsson Local Services in Sweden, have influenced the direction new Flow functions have taken.
“We have a clear idea about what we want to achieve, and we work closely with our customers’ wishes. We are now introducing a new interface for iPhone and iPad, new functions such as camera scanning and a new connector to SAP and Maximo, in addition to a number of improvements to the design and administration interface,” says Novacura vice MD Petter Larsson.
Gothenburg-based IT company Novacura is growing thanks to its product Novacura Flow. Its need for development is also growing as customers from various sectors successfully use the software.
“We have already had several positive reactions to the new release Flow 5.5 from our customers, in particular for including support for iOS. It is possible to assign configurable icons and colours to different flows and to perform camera scanning for both iOS and Android, which has been a requested feature. In addition to general design improvements, Flow also gets a new connector that makes it possible to plug a .Net application into any flow whatsoever.
Novacura has development staff in both Sweden and Poland that are constantly working on new features and designs. Soon Flow 5 too will include fully integrated support for MobileIron and will be able to handle all information according to their high security standards.
“There will be around four new releases of Flow every year, and a bigger new launch at roughly yearly intervals. We do this to follow the market. The next minor release will be as early as in a month’s time, and we are planning to launch a brand new version of Novacura Flow 6 at the end of 2015.
“We are working in parallel on development of Flow 6. This will be a big step towards being a comprehensive process platform with the ability to plug in many different business and peripheral systems. It will give our existing customers greater added value and will open up brand new customer segments for us,” says Novacura vice MD Petter Larsson.
