Lars Dahlgren and Nils K. Selte were elected to Orkla ASA's board of directors at yesterday's general meeting.

The general meeting saw the re-election of Stein Erik Hagen (chair), Grace Reksten Skaugen (deputy chair), Jo Lunder, Ingrid Jonasson Blank and Lisbeth Valther Pallesen as Orkla directors.

Since Peter A. Ruzicka's appointment as Orkla President and CEO on 10 February 2014 required his resignation from Orkla's board of directors, and since Jesper Ovesen had informed the nomination committee prior to the general meeting that he would not be standing for re-election, Nils K. Selte and Lars Dahlgren were elected as new members of the Orkla board.

Nils K. Selte is currently the managing director of Canica, a company for which he has worked since 2001. He also has previous experience from ICA Ahold, Hakon Gruppen and LIVI Norge. Selte chairs the board of Komplett, and is a member of the boards of Norwegian Property and Jernia. He also chairs or is a member of the boards of several other Canica companies. Selte holds a Masters degree in business and economics from BI Norwegian Business School.

Lars Dahlgren has been President and CEO of Swedish Match since 2008. He has worked for the company since 1996, with the exception of the period 2000-2002, when he was CFO and business development director at Vasatek. Dahlgren is a member of the boards of Scandinavian Tobacco Group and SMPM International. He holds a Master of Science degree in economics and administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.
