OX2 has acquired three onshore wind power projects in Romania totalling 235 MW from Future Power. Located in Vaslui and Vrancea counties, the acquisition increases OX2’s Romanian portfolio to more than 1.1 GW and further strengthens its position in one of Europe’s fastest-growing renewable markets.

The three projects are expected to be commissioned between 2028 and 2030, subject to permitting. OX2 also continues to develop additional wind projects in regions with strong wind resources, including Constanța, Brăila and Galați counties.

“The transaction with Future Power marks another step forward in OX2’s business development strategy in Romania. We continue to grow by developing solid, bankable projects with clear commissioning timelines, which will attract new investors to Romania,” says Lăcrămioara Diaconu-Pințea, Vice President and Country Manager of OX2 Romania.

OX2’s portfolio in Romania currently includes nine onshore wind projects, comprising 195 MW, under construction and 766 MW in development, as well as 150 MW of solar and BESS projects. In 2024 and 2025, OX2 completed transactions with Nala Renewables (99 MW) and HELLENiQ Renewables (96 MW).
