OX2 invests in a co-located wind and battery energy storage project, strengthening its position at the forefront of hybrid renewable solutions in Sweden

OX2 has taken the investment decision to start construction of a battery energy storage facility with a capacity of 50 MW / 209 MWh adjacent to the Fageråsen wind farm in the municipality of Malung-Sälen.The investment is part of OX2’s long-term commitment and ownership strategy in the area. In March, the company announced an investment of approximately SEK 3 billion in the Fageråsen wind farm, which will become the first wind farm that OX2 will own in Sweden upon completion. OX2 will also own the energy storage facility as part of the company’s growing portfolio of renewable energy assets.

OX2 starts construction of solar and energy storage projects in Poland

OX2 has taken investment decisions for two significant renewable energy projects in Poland: the 165 MWp Lion solar farm in the Lubuskie Voivodeship and the company’s first Polish energy storage facility, a 50 MW / 120 MWh battery installation to be built in Osiek Jasielski in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship.The Lion solar farm, located in the Sława municipality, will be OX2’s largest solar project to date and one of the largest operational in Poland. OX2 to invest in energy storage in Finland

OX2 has taken the investment decision to start construction of its first energy storage facilities in Finland with a combined capacity of 235 MW/470MWh. The storage facilities will be co-located with the Kannisto and Korkeamaa wind power projects, which reached investment decisions in December 2025.The energy storage facilities represent OX2’s first energy storage additions to its Finnish IPP portfolio. OX2 will continue to own these assets as part of the company’s expanding renewable energy production portfolio. In 2025 alone, OX2 invested 750 MW across five wind power projects in Finland.

OX2 starts construction of 189 MW onshore wind in Sweden

OX2 has taken the decision to invest in an onshore wind farm with a total capacity of 189 MW, in Malung-Sälen, Sweden. The investment amounts to approximately 3 billion SEK. The Fageråsen wind farm will remain under OX2 ownership after completion.This is the first project in Sweden that OX2 will continue to own after commissioning. Lestijärvi is the largest wind farm in Finland with a total of 69 turbines and a total capacity of 455.4 megawatts. Lestijärvi has been built by OX2 and is now completed and handed over to its owner, a consortium formed by the Finnish energy companies Kymppivoima, Oulun Energia, and Kuopion Energia.The annual energy production of the Lestijärvi wind farm is more than 1.3 terawatt hours.
