    Scam letters sent to trademark customers

    The Trademark Information Service and the Design Information Service of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office have been revamped

    Our information services for trademarks and designs have been revamped.  After the revamp, our customers can more easily access register details about both trademarks and designs through the respective services.The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) maintains the national Finnish Trademark Register and Designs Register. We have modernised the user interface technology for both the Trademark Information Service and the Design Information Service, increased the data content of the Trademark Information Service and introduced improvements to the services suggested by our customers.

    Number of trademark applications on the rise

    The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) received more trademark applications between April and August 2020 than during the same period last year.The number of national trademark applications filed between April and August this year was 1509, which is 29 percent more than during the same period in 2019. The number of trademark applications filed as of the beginning of this year is 14 percent more than last year. In previous years, the number of trademark applications has remained very stable.     The Finnish Patent and Registration Office’s (PRH) online services for trademarks and designs can now also be logged into using Estonian eIDAS identification means.With eIDAS identification, Estonian citizens can log into our services for trademarks and designs using their Estonian identification means, such as an electronic identity card.
