Human rights and equality are core values for Paulig. This year, the company is proud to be one of the partners of Helsinki Pride, which is the biggest culture and human rights event focused on the sexual and gender minorities in Finland.

“Diversity and inclusion are embedded in Paulig’s culture, values and way of doing business. We believe that collaboration, innovation and striving for excellence are at their best when everyone feels accepted as they are and know that they are valued colleagues, partners and customers regardless of their age, religion, sexual identity or cultural background. Helsinki Pride partnership gives us an opportunity to highlight the importance of human rights and equality regardless of one’s sexual or gender orientation. By supporting the event, Paulig wants to lead the way towards more equal and inclusive working life and society not only during the Pride Week but every day”, says Anu Pires, SVP Human Resources at Paulig.

A fair and inclusive way of working is one of the three core elements in Paulig’s Sustainability Approach 2030. “Our aim is to be a fair and inclusive partner and employer throughout our value chain. We continue to develop our values-driven company culture to ensure that all our employees perceive Paulig as a fair and inclusive company where they feel safe to be their true self. Pride Week is a perfect opportunity to promote safety for being yourself by generating discussion and being visible celebrating human rights. The work in support of human rights means constant development and it requires collaboration and transparency”, says Lea Rankinen, Paulig’s Sustainability and Public Affairs Director.

The Helsinki Pride community is a non-governmental organisation that aims to eliminate inequality and promote human rights and equality regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. In 2021, the event will be organised as a hybrid of online and in-person workshops, gatherings and lectures. Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin is the official patron of the event.
