Håkan Eriksson new CEO of Payair
Håkan Eriksson, with over 20 years of experience in the mobile telephony industry, will be the new CEO of Payair Technologies. Payair, the leading actor in mobile commerce, is entering a rapid phase of expansion. Mr. Eriksson’s focus will be on increasing the speed of the roll-out for Payair’s mobile commerce solutions in order to secure Payair as the market leader in mobile commerce both in the Nordic countries and internationally.
Over the last six months, mobile commerce has picked up speed; more and more e-merchants and brick-and-mortar shops the world over are becoming interested in implementing mobile commerce solutions. Payair is well in the lead in this development with its solution, which has been operating for over a year.
Against this background, the board of Payair has decided to change up its operations to take advantage of the company’s strong position. The new strategic plan includes international growth and this requires expansion capital and an organization adapted to the new business.

Mr. Eriksson has over 20 years of experience in the mobile telephony industry, as CCO and CMO at Telia Mobile and 3, as well as his own consulting firm with longer assignments for mobile phone operators and start-up companies. He has also worked as an international advisor for operators in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America.
“This job will be incredibly interesting, as I feel the potential for mobile commerce is enormous. The similarities with mobile telephony are striking, with one difference: growth will be significantly quicker,” says Mr. Eriksson.
Mr. Eriksson’s focus will now be on increasing the roll-out speed for Payair’s mobile commerce solutions in order to secure Payair as the market leader in mobile commerce both in the Nordic countries and internationally.
“The foundation has already been laid for Payair’s solution for mobile commerce, which has been operating for over a year. Now we’ll grow in the Nordic countries and internationally,” he says.
