Finnish aerial platform manufacturing company Dinolift Oy has placed an order for a robotized PEMA welding station. The delivery includes an automated solution for laser boom cutting and welding manufacturing.

Co-operation between Dinolift and Pemamek is part of Dinolift's future strategy.

Pemamek has received an order from DINO-aerial platform manufacturer Dinolift Oy. The order includes an automated PEMA Laser Cutting and Welding Station (PEMA LC-LWBM 6000). Significant investment in a modern automated welding production solution is part of the family-owned Dinolift’s development initiative and future strategy.

“We are proud manufacturers of DINO mobile elevating work platforms since almost 50 years, based in Loimaa. We continuously develop our production processes and operations to provide safe and reliable lifts to our customers all over the world. Our current growth strategy includes major investments in R&D, digitalization, and factory automation. Pemamek is known for their high level of skill and competence and we are very happy to develop our welding automation in cooperation with them”, says Dinolift’s CEO, Karin Nars.

The highly advanced PEMA solution brings significant improvements to Dinolift’s boom manufacturing process. The station’s modern technology utilizes laser for cutting and welding, producing the high-quality and dimensionally accurate final product. The station is managed with visual PEMA WeldControl 100 and PEMA CutControl 150 systems, which increase the station's ease of use and production control.

“Boom manufacturing is one of the critical phases in the production of elevating work platforms. By investing in modern manufacturing technology developed by Pemamek, we ensure the reliability of this strategic manufacturing phase and significantly improve our productivity”, says Timo Knuutila, COO at Dinolift.

As a part of the investment, Pemamek provides support for both, the search of welding parameters and the station's lifecycle services. The investment covers a maintenance contract that includes annual maintenance, updates, and remote support. Additionally, a separate spare parts package is delivered to the equipment, tailored to Dinolift's production needs.

“It is noteworthy that Dinolift has many years of experience in laser cutting and welding as a boom manufacturer. This investment in new modern laser welding technology is a significant indication of the company's desire to invest in the high quality of work platform manufacturing”, Samuel Karjalainen, Area sales manager (Finland) at Pemamek, summarizes.

The automated solution will be delivered and ready for production during spring 2022.
