Recently, we noticed a clear market demand for high-quality, high-output fabrication.
We decided to invest in developing our manual-based welding function and asked for tenders from various suppliers. Pemamek was soon able earn our trust not only with its proposal - a column & boom assembly line - but also with its long experience and reliable views for the future. The project turned out to be a success story with no surprises: factory testing, assembly, commissioning, and training were carried out in smooth, professional and efficient way within agreed delivery times. The objectives set in the beginning of the project were completely achieved. That’s why we have now ordered another assembly line and a couple of positioners from Pemamek for delivery in April-May 2016.
Our target is to reach new levels in welding technology with PEMA welding station. We have always made our studies bearing in mind the context of application. The next step for Senesco Marine is to produce not only Quality built vessels but at an increased pace to meet the needs of our customers. We currently are in a continuing build program for our current customers and at the same time are looking at new work for potential new customers. To be able to do this we are making the investment with PEMA to increase the throughput thus reducing the timeframe required to complete these vessels, which leaves room for even more opportunities. We are excited about this step of automation for the Shipyard and are looking forward to the relationship with PEMA as we endeavor to build Quality built vessels on time for our customers.
The welding station was purchased to increase our productivity, quality and throughput time – these are the main factors for us.
The deposition rate will decrease when we can optimize the welds and minimize throat thicknesses when doing all automatically. We have a target to split the total welding time into a half.
