As the global maritime industry faces ever-growing capacity demands, Pemamek’s Smart Yard Summit 2025 showcased what efficient and modern shipbuilding looks like.
The event, organized on the 8th of October 2025, at Pemamek Headquarters in Finland, brought together shipyard decision-makers from 18 countries. The one-day summit featured keynote speakers from global maritime leaders, such as Navantia UK, Aker Arctic, Lincoln Electric, HGG Profiling, DAVI, and Pemamek.
At the core of a future-proof shipyard is high-capacity, smart automation. During the second half of the event, participants toured Pemamek’s manufacturing facilities, experiencing an extensive selection of live PEMA shipyard automation demonstrations. Equipment such as a one-sided welding station for panels, a four-robot welding station, and a high-capacity edge-beveling station illustrated the impact of consistent and efficient production methods.
