Pemamek Iberia celebrates successful Grand Opening of new facilities in Zaragoza

Pemamek, a global leader in welding automation, is proud to announce the successful inauguration of its new facilities in Zaragoza, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion into the Spanish and Portuguese markets. The event, held on October 1, 2024, gathered representatives from the Government of Aragón, the City of Zaragoza, the Ambassador of Finland to Spain, and key industry professionals.

Expanding Pemamek’s global footprint

Pemamek Iberia S.L. is a joint venture between Pemamek Oy and the Aragonese company Arasol Industrial (Aragonesa De Soldadura S.L.). The new Zaragoza facility will enhance the company’s ability to provide sales and service support to its customers throughout the Iberian Peninsula. The facility will also play a critical role in serving other Spanish-speaking markets, including countries in Latin America.

A celebration of innovation and collaboration

The Grand Opening event welcomed 85 professionals from across various industrial sectors. Highlights of the evening included live robotic welding demonstrations featuring Pemamek’s state-of-the-art automation technology, as well as speeches from some of Pemamek’s key customers in Spain, including Borja de la Rica from Haizea Wind Group and César Mateo Oró from Astilleros Gondan.

In their speeches, the national and local officials, including the Ambassador of Finland to Spain, Sari Rautio, and representatives from the Government of Aragón, Javier Martínez, and the City of Zaragoza, Carlos Gimeno, emphasized the strategic significance of Pemamek’s presence in the region.

“Pemamek’s investment in Aragón highlights the region’s attractiveness as a hub for industrial innovation and technological advancement,” said Javier Martínez, General Director of Economic Policy for the Government of Aragón. “We welcome their contribution to Aragón’s industrial ecosystem and look forward to the positive impact they will have on the local economy.”

With the new facilities in Zaragoza, Pemamek Iberia is well-positioned to expand its role within Spain and Portugal’s industrial landscape. The company is dedicated to fostering strong partnerships, offering cutting-edge welding automation solutions, and providing local support and service to meet the needs of Spanish manufacturers.
