PFO Tech release new version of award-winning GPS bracelet
This week, on the first anniversary of the acclaimed Natalia Project by Civil Rights Defenders, Swedish Wearable Technology firm PFO Tech unveil their next generation of GPS alarm bracelets.
Named the PFO Shield, the new personal safety bracelet is the latest in wearable GPS technology for lone worker protection. When discretely triggered, the bracelet sends an alarm to designated groups or individuals with the wearer's live location. Its predecessor, the first alarm bracelet with GPS and GSM on the market, became the star of the Natalia Project to protect human rights defenders at risk. The new bracelet is yet another groundbreaker, being the first to utilise both American GPS and Russian GLONASS.
"The new bracelet is a direct response to the feedback of hundreds of companies in need of our technology to safeguard their staff or associates," says Johan Carlsson, CEO of PFO Tech. "Physically, it's smaller, softer and more ergonomic, while behind the scenes we've released a more user-friendly interface. We've implemented three new features, one being the high security Stealth mode developed for Civil Rights Defenders. And for more everyday use we've added I'm here! and Where are you? for non-urgent positioning. All factors to appeal to both men and women of all ages and in all industries."
PFO Tech was founded in 2009 and is a market leader in wearable GPS technology. The patented alarm function in combination with GPS/GLONASS and GSM triangulation, as well as size, design and flexibility has helped the PFO bracelet and security solution retain its uniqueness in this rapidly growing sector. In 2013, PFO Tech developed the technology behind the Natalia Project, whose particular bracelets were configured to alarm the Civil Rights Defenders headquarters in Stockholm, as well as send out an alert on social media platforms, notifying everyone in real time of an attack. The Natalia Project became the third most awarded digital campaign of 2013, winning such prestige as the Cannes Lions and Tomorrow Awards for pushing the boundaries of technological innovation.
