Change in Pihlajalinna Plc’s Management Team
Pihlajalinna is planning the renewal of its operating structure and a transition to an organisational structure based on business activities. The renewal of the operating structure would also lead to a change in Pihlajalinna’s segment reporting. Going forward, the operating segments would be the company’s two business segments: Public Services, and Private Clinic and Hospital Services.
Pihlajalinna Group has appointed Eetu Salunen, Licentiate of Medicine and Master of Philosophy, as the new Head of Business Operations of Public Services and member of the Group Management Team. Salunen will take up his position and become a member of the Management Team on 1 August 2022.
Helsinki-based Salunen (b. 1969) has previously worked, among others, as the CEO of the Päijät-Häme Joint Authority for Health and Wellbeing, the Director of Health Services of the City of Espoo, the Branch Manager and shareholder of Med Group Oy, and the Chief Physician and a shareholder of MedOne Oy. He has also worked as a consultant in the public sector and is a member of the Board of Directors of some healthcare companies.
– Eetu has a wide range of expertise in social and healthcare services and a strong knowledge of executive duties. He has a strong track record in the services development, as well as in the public sector, including the executive position of a healthcare district and long experience working as a doctor. I’m really happy that we are getting a skilled person like Eetu to lead the public services and be a member of the Group Management Team. I warmly welcome him to Pihlajalinna,” says CEO Joni Aaltonen.

More information on the new operating structure will be provided by the third quarter of the year at the latest.
