Changes in Pihlajalinna management team and management system

As part of the company’s efficiency improvement programme, Pihlajalinna Plc is modernising its management system and restructuring its management team. The modernisation will discontinue some functions of the management team, with the company establishing an operations management team as a new management team level directed by the COO. Appointments to the management team take effect on 15 August 2019.
The Board of Directors of Pihlajalinna has appointed the following members to serve on the new group management team:
Joni Aaltonen, CEO. Aaltonen will continue as CEO of Pihlajalinna and chairman of the management team. He has worked for the company since 2008 and has served as its CEO since 2017.
Teija Kulmala, COO. Kulmala’s principal responsibility will be to manage Pihlajalinna business operations and the company’s sales and marketing. She previously served as the company’s Head of Business Operations, Mid-Finland, and will continue as CEO of Jämsän Terveys Oy and Jokilaakson Terveys Oy. She has worked for Pihlajalinna since 2016, serving on the group management team since 2018.
Tarja Rantala, CFO. Rantala’s principal responsibilities will cover accounts and financing, real estate and procurement operations. She previously served as group Financial Director and has worked for the company since 2014.
Elina Heliö, Head of Human Resources. Heliö’s principal responsibilities will cover human resources and human resources development. She joined the group and its management team in 2019.
Marko Savolainen, General Counsel. Savolainen’s principal responsibilities will cover legal affairs, communications and investor relations. He has served as the group’s General Counsel and as a member of the management team since 2018.
Sanna Määttänen, Head of Service Development and Chief Information Officer (CIO). Määttänen’s principal responsibilities will be group development, digital development, Contact Center operations and ICT. Määttänen was previously Head of Service and Product Development for the group. She has worked for the company since 2012, serving on the group management team since 2018.
All previous management team positions will be discontinued on 15 August 2019.
