Insider information: Pihlajalinna’s and Fennia’s co-operation continues

Pihlajalinna Plc and the insurance specialist Fennia deepen the partnership and have signed a new co-operation agreement today, 18 September 2023. Through collaboration, effective and high-quality healthcare services will continue to be offered to Fennia’s customers within Pihlajalinna’s operating network and remote channels. Pihlajalinna remains the main partner for Fennia in the coming four-year period from 2024 to 2027. Pihlajalinna estimates the annual revenue of the co-operation to be approximately EUR 25-30 million.

Co-operation enables fast and timely healthcare treatment evaluation, as well as treatment referral, through the FenniaHoitaja service for Fennia’s health and accident insurance customers. Additionally, Pihlajalinna’s comprehensive treatment pathway from hospital services to rehabilitation and the support for returning to work ensures necessary protection in case of acute accidents and illness situations for Fennia’s customers.

– In Finland, we are facing a situation where treatment queues in public healthcare continue to grow. Today, citizens are increasingly taking responsibility for their own and their loved ones' health, leading to a rise in the number of private medical expenses insurances. In Pihlajalinna, we have responded by expanding our services, particularly in hospital services such as orthopedics. I am pleased that our strong partnership with Fennia continues, and we can continue to provide impactful healthcare services to Fennia’s customers also in the future, says Tuomas Hyyryläinen, CEO of Pihlajalinna.

– It is great that our successful partnership with Pihlajalinna continues. We aim to conduct profitable and responsible business. With Pihlajalinna, we can create even more value and deliver a better customer experience to our customers, who are also our owners, says Tomi Yli-Kyyny, CEO of Fennia.
