Pohjola Hospital is now part of Pihlajalinna

Pihlajalinna’s acquisition of Pohjola Hospital is completed today, 1 February 2022. The Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority (KKV) approved the acquisition on 14 January without conditions. In the acquisition, the entire share capital of Pohjola Hospital Oy will be transferred to Pihlajalinna Terveys Oy.

The acquisition is a key part of Pihlajalinna’s growth strategy and will strengthen the service portfolio in all areas of specialisation. The aim of the company is to further extend its service network, particularly in capital city area and other growth centers. The five-year service agreement signed with Pohjola Insurance further strengthens the growth plan.

With the acquisition completed, all Pohjola Hospital operations will continue under the Pihlajalinna brand. Pohjola Hospital’s trade name will be changed to Pihlajalinna Omasairaala.

With the joint forces of Pihlajalinna and Pohjola Hospital, Finland has a new interesting and versatile healthcare service provider.
