Avfall Sverige is the municipalities' association for waste management. Plagazi's membership increases the visibility of its innovative process among municipalities and decision-makers, where the company also supports the technical development of waste management in the country. The membership also enables Plagazi to increase understanding and collaborate with decision makers regarding ongoing projects in the Swedish market.

Avfall Sverige currently consists of 400 members, where the affiliates consist of municipalities, municipal associations, municipal companies but also private companies such as Plagazi. The organization's task is to pursue issues and advocacy work regarding waste and waste management, towards politicians, decision-makers, and other authorities from local to EU level.

With active monitoring of the contracting industry in the country, Europe, and the rest of the world, Avfall Sverige is always up to date with the latest news, regulations, and technologies in the waste management sector. Together with its members, the organisation ensures that all waste generated in the country is disposed of in the best possible way, first and foremost through the EU Waste Hierarchy where the highest goal is to prevent the generation of waste.

"Together with Avfall Sverige, the main goal is to reach out with Plagazis unique solution to how waste management can be improved but also to take part of Avfall Sweden's expertise in Swedish waste management. With the development of Plagazi's Swedish projects, e.g. Köping Hydrogen Park, the aim is that more municipalities, waste managers and decision-makers will become aware of our circular process, which can be a decisive solution for the Swedish waste landscape. Avfall Sverige is thus a brilliant forum where we can, in an effective way, reach out to the Swedish market. We see this collaboration as a significant step forward in our development and hope to further develop Swedish waste management and reduce its environmental impact." - Torsten Granberg, CEO Plagazi AB (publ)
