Planmeca announces new high-performance chairside 3D printer
Planmeca is introducing a new chairside 3D printer to its product offering. The powerful Planmeca Creo™ C5 brings fast, safe and accurate 3D printing directly to the dental clinic. Its advanced LCD technology, innovative material capsules and optimised settings make the printer an easy and reliable solution – just plug and print.
Planmeca Creo™ C5 is a chairside 3D printer built for speed and precision. Designed specifically for dental professionals, the high-performance printer enables fabricating customised surgical guides, dental models and aligner bases in a single patient visit. Its compact and robust aluminium body makes it ideal for clinics and labs of any size.
“Additive manufacturing has numerous applications and enormous potential in dentistry as elsewhere”, says Jukka Kanerva, Vice President of Planmeca’s Dental Care Units & CAD/CAM division. “3D printing enables producing patient-specific dental applications reliably and in a fraction of the usual time. Now we are bringing this powerful technology to dental clinics.”
Planmeca Creo C5 is not just any 3D printer, but one that has been developed in cooperation with some of the best clinical experts in dental technology. The device’s advanced LCD technology and printer-optimised materials offer predictable, industry-grade results at an exceptional speed. Meanwhile, the innovative material capsules ensure a smooth and safe printing experience with effective material utilisation.
The printer’s seamless integration with the Planmeca Romexis® software offers a simple workflow for the 3D printing of dental applications. The pre-programmed and optimised material parameters and automatic nesting guarantee predictable high-quality results – every time. Since no manual settings or calibrations are needed, printing is as easy as pressing a button.
”Chairside 3D printing is the next evolution in one-visit dentistry, allowing practices to offer new same-day services to their patients. Planmeca Creo C5 has been developed specifically with this in mind. It’s an easy and dependable plug-and-print solution with many features that are patent pending and completely new. We truly expect it to be a game changer in the industry”, Kanerva states.
Planmeca Creo C5 will be on display at IDS 2019 in Cologne.
