PMC Group acquires Hydranor—strengthens position as leading supplier of hydraulic systems in Offshore & Marine

As of 30 March 2012, PMC Group AB (PMC) has entered into an agreement to purchase the operations of Hydranor AS of Norway. The transaction is subject to approval from Norwegian competition authority. This new company’s name will be PMC Hydranor AS. Hydranor is a leading Nordic supplier of hydraulic high-pressure valves and manifold blocks for the international offshore & marine sector. The PMC Group has set up a new company, PMC Hydraulika Sp.z.o.o, in Sczcecin, Northwest Poland. The company focuses on assembling hydraulic and lubrication systems and delivered its first systems in December 2011.“The new company gives us unique opportunities to offer both existing and new customers systems produced locally in Poland and Central Europe. Above all, this means shorter lead times, but it also means lower costs,” says Patrik Olsson, who is responsible for setting up the new company and is also CEO at PMC Hytech AB, Ystad.
