A Change in the Operative Management of Ponsse Oyj

Veikko Rintamäki, who has served as Director of Technology and R & D at Ponsse Oyj
since November 2004, has resigned from the company. Until further notice, Arto
Tiitinen, President and CEO, will oversee the position, in addition to his own
responsibilities.

"Mr Rintamäki assumed the position in the autumn of 2004 when Ponsse acquired the
majority of shares in Epec Oy, a company designing and manufacturing control
systems in Seinäjoki. He is the founder of Epec Oy and has, since the
acquisition, had a visible role not only in product development but also in the
development of Posse's information system functions, as well as in integrating the
operations of the Seinäjoki and Kajaani units. During the past year, Mr Rintamäki
has significantly contributed to the improvement of Ponsse's future
competitiveness," says Mr Tiitinen, President and CEO of Ponsse Oyj.

"I have a long career behind me as an entrepreneur and director. Now it's time to
look at matters from a new perspective. The year or more that I spent with Ponsse
has been very interesting and rewarding. I would thus like to give my thanks to
all my colleagues and partners," says Mr Rintamäki.
