Ponsse’s performance was relatively good given the extremely difficult global situation, and we were able to offset the loss of the Russian subsidiary in our net sales. During the year, our net sales were roughly EUR 755 million, and our maintenance services and technology company Epec showed excellent growth.
Responsibility guides the company’s future, growth and development. Consequently, we want to strengthen its role both in the management and in all our operations.

The year 2021 was a time of growth for Ponsse. We had a record-breaking order flow, and our order book reached a historical high. Every business area experienced significant growth and our cash flow was strong throughout the year. Our company’s solvency is at a good level.
Our range of products is a good fit for the local conditions, and we believe in the growth potential of PONSSE products and services in Chile.
The manufacturing volumes of new PONSSE forest machines are increasing at a good pace, compared with the exceptional crisis year of 2020. There is still great uncertainty concerning the availability of certain component groups.
The forest machine market continued its very positive development during the second quarter of the year. The good situation in the forest industry and among our customers was reflected favourably in all our business areas. Ponsse’s order flow totalled EUR 236.3 million for the second quarter, increasing our order books to EUR 355.5 million. Our factory operated efficiently during the period under review, and we manufactured all the PONSSE forest machines included in our production programme as planned.
The forest machine market’s positive development continued strongly in the first quarter. Demand was stimulated from the very start of the year by the forest industry’s favourable outlook, and we received an increasing flow of orders throughout the quarter.
There are so many skilled forestry experts who we can be proud of in this industry.
